About Echo

We found Echo at a local shelter about 8 months ago, and honestly it felt like she picked us more than we picked her. She was the one dog in the whole place who wasn't barking or hiding, just sitting calmly at the front of her kennel like she was waiting for something. Turns out that calm exterior was hiding an absolute genius who needed a job or she'd invent one herself. She's incredibly smart, almost unsettlingly so, and picks up new commands in a day or two that took other dogs weeks. The herding instinct is very real, she'll try to herd the kids, the vacuum, sometimes even us if we're all walking in different directions. She's a little reserved with strangers at first, watches everything closely before deciding if she trusts someone, but once she does she's incredibly loyal and affectionate. We don't know much about her life before the shelter, but wherever she came from, she landed exactly where she was supposed to. Scout's taught us just as much as we've taught her.
