Last updated July 12, 2026

Dog Training At Home ("Dog Training At Home", "we", "us", or "our") operates dogtrainingathome.us and related services, including our AI-powered dog training plan generator, user dashboard, public dog profiles, training progress tools, AI trainer chat, certificates, and related features (collectively, the "Service").

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose, and protect information when you visit our website, create an account, complete a training quiz, purchase a plan, use AI trainer chat, create a dog profile, contact support, or otherwise use the Service.

By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly, information generated through your use of the Service, and limited technical information collected automatically.

Account Information

When you create an account or manage your profile, we may collect your name, email address, password or authentication credentials, avatar, phone number, billing-related details, and other account information you choose to provide.

Dog Profile and Training Information

To generate personalized dog training plans, we collect information about your dog and training goals. This may include your dog's name, breed, age, gender, size, weight, personality traits, behavior concerns, training goals, home environment, experience level, preferences, skills learned, progress, journal notes, and any additional details you provide in the quiz or dashboard.

Optional Photo Analysis

You may choose to upload a dog photo during the quiz or profile setup. If photo analysis is enabled, the photo may be temporarily processed by our systems or AI service providers to generate a short text insight that may help personalize the training plan. Unless you separately upload and save a photo to your dog profile, quiz analysis photos are not permanently stored by us after analysis. We keep only the generated text insight related to the photo.

Training Plan and AI Chat Information

When you generate a plan or use the AI trainer chat, we may collect your quiz answers, plan content, chat messages, journal notes, progress updates, completion status, AI-generated responses, and related usage information. This helps us provide personalized coaching, answer questions about your plan, and improve the Service.

Public Dog Profile Information

If you choose to publish a dog profile, the information you mark or make public may be visible to other users and visitors. This may include your dog's name, photos, cover image, bio, breed, age, size, weight, gender, skills learned, training progress highlights, certificates, verification badges, featured listing status, public profile link, and community engagement such as paws or views. You can publish or unpublish your dog profile from your account settings or profile manager.

Payment and Billing Information

We use third-party payment processors, such as Stripe, to process payments, subscriptions, invoices, refunds, and billing-related services. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers. We may store payment status, plan type, purchase history, invoice references, subscription status, receipt links, Stripe customer IDs, and related billing metadata needed to operate the Service.

Support and Contact Information

When you contact us through a contact form, support request, email, or other communication channel, we may collect your name, email address, message content, attachments, account details, and any information needed to respond to your request.

Technical and Usage Information

We may automatically collect information such as IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages visited, referring URLs, session activity, feature usage, approximate location derived from IP address, error logs, security logs, cookie identifiers, and analytics data. This helps us operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To generate free previews and full personalized dog training plans.

  • To provide AI trainer chat and plan-specific coaching.

3. AI Processing and Personalized Recommendations

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate dog training previews, full training plans, training guidance, chat responses, reminders, summaries, and related educational content. AI-generated content is based on the information you provide, your dog's profile, training goals, journal notes, progress data, and other relevant account information.

AI-generated dog training guidance is for general educational purposes only. It is not veterinary advice, medical advice, emergency advice, or a substitute for a certified professional dog trainer, veterinarian, veterinary behaviorist, or other qualified professional.

If your quiz answers, chat messages, or journal notes indicate aggression, biting, severe anxiety, sudden behavior changes, suspected pain, illness, self-harm, or other serious concerns, we may limit AI training guidance and recommend that you contact a qualified professional or veterinarian.

4. Photo Privacy

We take photo privacy seriously. If you upload a photo only for quiz-based AI analysis, the photo is used to generate a short text insight and is not permanently stored by us after analysis, unless you separately choose to save a photo to your dog profile, timeline, public dog profile, or another visible feature of the Service.

If you publish a dog profile or upload photos to your dog's public profile or timeline, those photos may be visible to other users and visitors according to your selected visibility settings. You are responsible for ensuring that any photo you upload does not include private, sensitive, or unauthorized content.

5. Public Profiles, Directory, Paws, Certificates, and Verification

The Service allows you to create optional public dog profiles and participate in the "Meet the Pack" directory. If you publish a dog profile, visitors may be able to view the public information you choose to share.

Public dog profiles may include dog photos, cover images, bio, breed, age, gender, size, weight, training progress, skills learned, certificates, badges, featured placement, paws, views, and share links. Public certificate verification pages may display certificate status, certificate ID, dog name, completion date, and related verification details.

You may unpublish or edit your public dog profile from your dashboard. However, information previously shared publicly may have been viewed, copied, cached, indexed, or shared by others before it was removed.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We may use cookies, local storage, pixels, analytics tools, and similar technologies to operate the website, remember preferences, keep you signed in, improve performance, measure traffic, prevent fraud, understand feature usage, and support marketing or retargeting where permitted.

You can usually control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect login, checkout, dashboard, personalization, or other Service features.

7. How We Share Information

13. California Privacy Notice

Depending on whether those laws apply to us and your relationship with the Service, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, or share; request correction; request deletion; opt out of certain selling or sharing of personal information; limit certain uses of sensitive personal information; and not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights.

We do not sell personal information for money. If our use of analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies is considered a "sale" or "sharing" under applicable California law, we will provide required choices where legally required.

We may disclose these categories to service providers and processors as described in this Privacy Policy for business purposes such as hosting, security, analytics, AI processing, payments, email delivery, support, and Service operation.
